Hon Sunny TAN assumed the chairmanship of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) in August 2022.
As a seasoned industrialist, he is currently a Member of the Legislative Council representing the Textiles and Garment functional constituency and Senior Advisor to Luen Thai Holdings Limited, a leading fashion and lifestyle apparel and accessories manufacturer, for which he has served for more than two decades. He is also Executive Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Executive Vice Chairman of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Textiles. In 2013, he received the “Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong”.
Hon Sunny TAN has a strong record of public and community service. He is a member of the Committee on Innovation, Technology and Industry Development; the Trade and Industry Advisory Board; the Vocational Training Council; and the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Design Centre. He is also a Standing Committee member of the Hebei Province Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
Hon Sunny TAN obtained a Master of Science degree from Stanford University and Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Professor Justin Yifu Lin is a professor and dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics, honorary dean of the National School of Development and honorary dean of the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development at Peking University. In 1994, he founded the China Center for Economic Research at Peking University (now the National School of Development at Peking University) and served as its director. In 2008, he was appointed as the chief economist of the World Bank and senior vice president in charge of development economics, becoming the first person from a developing country to hold this important position. In 2012, after his tenure at the World Bank ended, he returned to Peking University and continued his teaching and research work. Justin Yifu Lin is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of its Economic Committee. He previously served as a counselor of the State Council and vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. He was a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from the 7th to the 10th terms, deputy director of the Economic Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in the 10th term, a deputy to the 11th National People's Congress, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the Economic Committee in the 12th and 13th terms, and member of the expert committee for the 11th and 12th Five-Year Plan, deputy chairman of the expert committee for the 13th, 14th and 15th Five-Year Plan. He holds concurrent positions in multiple committees and leading groups related to development policies, agriculture, and poverty reduction at home and abroad. He was elected as a fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and a corresponding fellow of the British Academy. He has received honorary doctorate degrees from ten universities in Britain, France, the United States, Canada, and Hong Kong.
His major works include more than 20 volumes such as "On China's Economy", "Beating the Odds", "Going Beyond Aid", "Quest for Prosperity", "Demystifying the Chinese Economy", "New Structural Economics", "Against the Consensus", "Benti and Changwu", "Sufficient Information and State-owned Enterprises Reform" and "The China Miracle". He has published more than 300 papers in academic journals at home and abroad.

How “New Productive Forces” Navigate a New Stage Beyond Hong Kong Economy
The session aims to explore on how Hong Kong leverages innovative technology, especially smart manufacturing, microfactory, low-altitude economy, SME development and more to unleash unique advantages and create new prospects towards the development strategy in the new year in 2025.
The audience, comprising leaders of big and small companies across various industries, will gain valuable insights from the insightful sharing from panel speakers. In mastering how to leverage unique resource endowments and develop modern industries with comparative advantages, they can enhance productivity standard and production related industry and technique, accelerating the transformation of economic structure with economic and societal growth.

Mr Jude Chow is Deputy Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), Member of FHKI Chairman’s committee and Chairman of Group 26 (Environmental Industries Council). Mr Chow is also a member of the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation, Engineers Australia and the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in the UK.
Mr Jude Chow is the Founder and CEO of AEL (International Holdings) Limited. In his early years in Australia, Mr Chow had extensive exposure to large-scale construction engineering, airport engineering, and environmental engineering projects. He then took up a regional position in a German technology company and was responsible for projects across 13 countries in the Asia Pacific. After joining Associated Engineers Limited, he has led the company to sustainable growth by developing new products and entering into new markets, including Belt and Road countries. He is now working with partners from Europe, local research institutes, and universities to build a waste-to-energy solution for the Asian Market.
He is also dedicated to contributing to society with active participation in voluntary work and being a mentor for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong’s School of Energy and Environment, as well as the promotion of sustainability by representing the industry to liaise with Government and overseas counterparts.
Mr Chow graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, and obtained the Master degree in Engineering Management from the University of Technology, Sydney. He also has an Executive Master Degree in Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Dr Kang Qu is Managing Director of Sustainability Strategy Bank of China (Hong Kong). He also holds the role of Deputy General Manager in Economics & Strategic Planning Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Financial Research Institute of Bank of China.
Dr Qu joined Bank of China in London in 2006 to head the research and strategic planning team, overseeing macro-economic research of the EMEA region and leading ESG strategy planning and implementation for Bank of China’s business in the UK. Dr Qu also represented the bank in different international sustainability organizations. Dr Qu is a Member of Directors of the China International Finance Society and a member of the Data Working Group led by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
Dr Qu earned his PhD in Finance from University of Durham. He also received a MSc degree from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BSc degree in Computer Science and Technology from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).

Prof Wong is Vice President of The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong and Chairman of the Kampery Group. Business covers food and beverage manufacturing, wholesaling, restaurants, hospitality and wine tourism. The Group is based in Hong Kong, but has subsidiaries in major cities in China, North America and Europe. The Group is currently trading with more than 35 countries.
Prof Wong establishes GreenDotDot Group in 1999. Products include health and organic food in retail, wholesale and E-Commerce. GreenDotDot has become the largest organic retailer in Hong Kong market.
Prof Wong strives to promote the F&B culture of Hong Kong. In 2003, during SARS, Mr Wong organised the PunChoi Megafest to promote local produce. The event was attended by 10,000 citizens dining at Kai Tak Airport which at that time had set a record for such occasion. In 2009, He created the KamCha - Hong Kong Milk Tea Competition to promote this unique HK beverage. The Competition has become an international event which is highly recognised by the Government and the industry. In 2014, Mr Wong has successfully applied for listing HK MILK TEA as a Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage. This has not only helped to promote the image of the Hong Kong F&B industry, but indirectly promote Hong Kong as a “BRAND” internationally.
Prof Wong is a member of the 11th Chinese People‘s Political Consultative Conference of Heilongjiang Province, member of the Election Committee of HKSAR, Vice President of Chinese Manufacturer’s Association, Chairman Emeritus of Brand Development Council, President of HK Federation of Restaurants and Related Trades, Chairman of Chamber of Food and Beverage Industry of HK, Chairman of Association of Coffee and Tea of HK, Chairman of Association of Green and Organic @Living, Deputy Chairman of HK Quality Assurance Agency.
Prof Wong is also a trustee of The University of Minnesota Foundation, Chairman of Yee Hong Wellness Foundation of HK, Vice Patron of Community Chest of HK etc.
Prof Wong is a member of the HKSAR Tourism Strategy Group, and the Convenor of FoodSmart Partnership Programme to promote food waste treatment. He has served as members of Advisory Council on Environment, Occupation Safety and Healthy Council, Agriculture Fisheries and Conservation Department, Centre for Food Safety Expert Committee, Liquor Licensing Board, China Business Committee of HKTDC, etc.
Prof Wong has won numerous awards and recognitions for his contribution in the industries and his involvement in the community.
